26.2

IQNECT 26.2 introduces the foundation of IQNECT’s common traceability platform, expanding the platform beyond Codebeamer into connected engineering ecosystems. This release adds cross-system traceability, semantic search, and lifecycle visibility across Codebeamer, Jira, and Windchill PLM while improving trace management, resource configuration, usability, and platform scalability for complex engineering environments.

New features #

  • Added Windchill PLM integration, enabling retrieval, normalization, indexing, and semantic search support for Windchill PLM objects and traces to improve cross-system lifecycle visibility.
  • Added Jira integration, allowing Jira objects and traces to be retrieved, normalized, indexed, and included in cross-system semantic search and traceability workflows.
  • Added multi-system connection management, enabling users to manage authentication and connected system access across Codebeamer, Jira, and Windchill PLM environments.
  • Added cross-system Search and Trace diagrams, enabling teams to search, visualize, and manage trace relationships across Codebeamer, Jira, and Windchill PLM from a unified traceability experience.
  • Added Enhanced Trace View real-time updates, allowing trace views to refresh automatically after trace changes are made in Explore Traces workflows.
  • Added deep links to IQNECT-enhanced views in Codebeamer, improving navigation between Codebeamer and IQNECT workflows.
  • Added an outdated analysis score indicator, helping users identify when analysis results are no longer current.
  • Added trace rule management at the resource shape level, improving configuration flexibility and governance for traceability relationships.
  • Added configurable tenant-level AI disclaimers and enhanced permission menu behavior, improving governance, usability, and administrative workflows across the platform.
  • Added IQ Core for Windchill PLM through the IQNECT Extension Widget, extending IQNECT AI-assisted workflows into Windchill PLM environments.
  • Added enhanced Semantic Search with project category visibility and selection, improving filtering and discovery across large engineering repositories and connected systems.
  • Added Resource Shape color management, property management, and Snippets management with inheritance support, improving visualization, configuration reuse, and cross-system resource consistency.
  • Added enhanced permissions, usability improvements, and system feedback across the Admin UI, including improved validation behavior, navigation consistency, version management, and user feedback workflows.
  • Added user preferences in Quality Dashboards, allowing users to persist dashboard configuration and personalization settings.
  • Added Bulk User Import status visibility enhancements, allowing administrators to view failed users during bulk import operations for improved troubleshooting and user management.
  • Added support for Codebeamer 3.2, extending IQNECT compatibility to the latest Codebeamer release and ensuring continued access to IQNECT capabilities across supported Codebeamer environments.
  • Updated and enhanced the underlying AI model infrastructure, improving AI-assisted analysis, semantic search relevance, lifecycle insights, and overall platform intelligence across supported IQNECT workflows.

Bug fixes #

  • Fixed multiple Admin UI issues related to permissions, navigation, validation behavior, resource shape management, dropdown rendering, localization, tenant management, and configuration workflows.
  • Fixed issues affecting Semantic Search rendering, filtering, indexing reliability, search error handling, and similarity detection workflows.
  • Fixed Enhanced Trace View and Explore Traces issues related to drag-and-drop updates, sidebar loading, and trace filtering behavior.
  • Fixed dashboard stability issues related to tracker removal and project management behavior.
  • Fixed issues where IQNECT widgets and login controls did not render consistently in Codebeamer.
  • Fixed document importer and processing issues affecting imports, indexing reliability, and large payload handling.
  • Fixed multiple UI consistency and usability issues across localization, dark mode rendering, preview behavior, and resource display workflows.

Deprecation notice #

The Quality Dashboards feature will be deprecated in IQNECT 26.3.

Quality Dashboard user preferences introduced in IQNECT 26.2 will remain available during the 26.2 release cycle, but the broader Quality Dashboards capability is planned for removal in a future release as IQNECT continues expanding its cross-system traceability platform.

Summary #

IQNECT 26.2 establishes the foundation for a unified common traceability platform across engineering systems. With new cross-system integrations for Jira and Windchill PLM, expanded semantic search capabilities, enhanced trace visualization, and improved lifecycle analysis workflows, this release strengthens IQNECT’s ability to connect hardware, software, requirements, and engineering data across complex product development environments.
