IQNECT 26.3 introduces project-centric engineering intelligence, giving teams a centralized way to understand engineering initiatives across connected lifecycle systems. With IQNECT Projects, enhanced traceability, continuous indexing, improved resource context, and stronger quality and administrative capabilities, this release helps organizations understand project health, engineering quality, traceability, and risk across Codebeamer, Jira, Windchill PLM, and other connected engineering information.
New features #
- Added IQNECT Projects, introducing a centralized workspace for organizing engineering initiatives across connected systems. Projects support project creation, membership management and bulk replacement, project search, Resource Shape visibility, suspicion computation, project ratings and Resource Shape health, and scheduled updates to keep project intelligence current.
- Added Enhanced Trace Explorer, introducing a more structured visual experience for reviewing upstream and downstream engineering relationships. The improved layout helps users navigate complex trace networks, understand trace context, and perform cross-system impact analysis more efficiently. Enhanced Trace Explorer is currently available in BETA.
- Added provider system filtering in Enhanced Trace View, allowing users to focus trace analysis on resources from selected connected systems.
- Added Isolate Traces in View Traces, allowing users to focus on selected trace relationships and reduce visual complexity when reviewing larger trace networks.
- Added automatic suspect marking for cross-system traces, helping users identify trace relationships that may require review when connected engineering information changes.
- Added trace rule cardinality enforcement during trace creation, preventing new trace relationships from being created when they do not satisfy configured cardinality requirements.
- Added continuous indexing for Jira and Windchill PLM, automatically processing supported changes from connected provider systems to keep IQNECT engineering information current.
- Added support for restricted Codebeamer and Windchill PLM instances, extending IQNECT connectivity to provider environments that are not directly accessible over public networks.
- Added active provider system detection and connection prompts, helping users establish the required provider connection when accessing IQNECT capabilities.
- Added Windchill PLM intra-system trace enhancements, including redirection support for trace operations governed by Windchill workflows.
- Added context-aware Advanced Search quick filters in IQ for Windchill PLM, automatically applying the current context to improve search relevance.
- Improved Resource Cards with engineering context, Resource Shape information, and relationship summaries, giving users more information about resources directly within IQNECT views.
- Added configurable resource rating meanings, allowing contextual guidance to be displayed alongside resource ratings to help users interpret Quality Analysis results.
- Added AI advisory disclaimer management and display, providing organizations with greater control over how advisory guidance is communicated alongside AI-assisted engineering analysis.
- Added duplicate detection in Document Importer, identifying potentially similar content during import so users can review duplicates before introducing redundant engineering information.
- Added configuration export and import in the Admin UI, allowing administrators to transfer IQNECT configurations between environments to reduce manual setup and improve configuration consistency across development, staging, and production environments.
- Added an integrated IQNECT Help feature in the Admin UI, providing users with direct access to product support from within IQNECT.
- Added support for nested user groups, allowing user groups to contain other groups.
- Added support for integration user login through an incognito page, improving authentication workflows for integration users.
- Added and improved branded SSO login errors, providing clearer feedback when authentication issues occur.
- Improved the display of resource actions, providing a more consistent experience when accessing available actions for engineering resources.
Bug fixes #
- Fixed multiple traceability and Enhanced Trace View issues, including missing suspect traces, cross-system trace creation failures, incorrect downstream relationships, mismatched traces when switching Codebeamer items, duplicate trace creation, View Upstream/Downstream display issues, and Enhanced Trace View menu behavior in Windchill PLM.
- Fixed trace permission and Trace Rule issues, including incorrect Enhanced Trace View visibility, missing controls, blank Resource Shapes with Entity Read permissions, 404 errors, and overlapping cardinality values.

- Fixed Resource Shape and resource action display issues, including configured colors not appearing correctly and IQNECT actions not displaying for certain Resource Shapes.
- Fixed multiple UI consistency issues, including undefined control labels, inconsistent context menu highlighting, snippet formatting, dark mode visibility, and loading states.
- Fixed snippet availability issues where system snippets were not displayed for users.
- Fixed Zoho Desk integration issues affecting the embedded support experience.
- Fixed test feature response issues, including missing
ai_tracesdata.
BETA notice #
The Enhanced Trace Explorer introduced in IQNECT 26.3 is currently available in BETA.
The new experience provides a more structured way to visualize upstream and downstream engineering relationships, helping users navigate complex trace networks and understand cross-system dependencies. Additional enhancements may be introduced as the experience continues to evolve.
Deprecation notice #
Quality Dashboards are removed in IQNECT 26.3. The 26.3 development work includes removal of the Quality Dashboards capability following the deprecation notice provided in IQNECT 26.2.
Organizations should use IQNECT Projects, Resource Shapes, Quality Analysis, and related engineering intelligence capabilities for project health, quality, and resource-level analysis going forward.
Summary #
IQNECT 26.3 represents a major evolution from connected engineering information toward project-centric engineering intelligence. IQNECT Projects brings resources, health, quality, traceability, suspicions, and engineering context together around the initiatives teams are actually delivering, while continuous indexing helps keep that intelligence current.
Enhanced traceability, richer Resource Cards, duplicate detection, configurable AI guidance, and improved administration further strengthen the platform’s ability to turn distributed engineering information into actionable project understanding. Together, these capabilities help engineering teams identify dependencies and risks earlier, reduce manual effort and rework, and make more informed decisions across complex product development environments.
